Couples/Marriage Counselling:
Intensive Therapy In-Person, or Sessions Via Zoom.

There are number of choices when it comes to engaging in couples/marriage counselling:

Intensive Couples Counseling – Rapid Transformation
Emerging research suggests that the most effective way to complete couples / marriage counseling is through an intensive, therapy program. By dedicating each at least a full day to therapy, couples can experience rapid, lasting transformation.

I offer several flexible options to suit your needs:

1. In the Comfort of Your Own Home: If you'd prefer to engage in therapy within the comfort and familiarity of your own home, I can come to you. (A brief environmental safety assessment will be conducted to ensure a conducive space—this includes checking for pets, household members, and any other considerations.) This approach offers the unique advantage of integrating therapy directly into your living environment, where issues often arise, fostering immediate relevance and lasting change.

2. At a Local Meeting Room: If you’re not comfortable with a therapist entering your home, we can arrange a session in a private meeting room within your local community, minimizing travel time while still maintaining the focus of intensive therapy.

Pricing: The cost for the intensive couples therapy is $2,500 per day, plus where appropriate: flexible economy-return airfares from Sydney, ground transport at destination, and accommodation for locations outside of the Sydney/Wollongong metropolitan areas.

3. In a Dedicated Therapeutic Retreat: Alternatively, you may choose to experience therapy in a dedicated therapeutic venue, either in Thailand or on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. These serene locations offer an immersive environment, allowing you to fully focus on healing and transformation. Prices bespoke and built around your individual needs and requirements: Please email admin@edwardmichaelpsychology.com to make an enquiry.
I specialise in helping couples build resilient and thriving relationships. I have extensive experience working with couples and whole families to help them create a more harmonious environment. I have done this from clinics and from within families own homes. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective couples counselling tailored to your unique needs. I believe in a holistic approach to relationship wellness. My therapeutic methods are rooted in empathy, communication enhancement, and collaborative problem-solving. Intimacy and Connection
How It Works:

-
In the first session we meet together with your partner for an assessment session where I ask questions about your relationship history and gain an understanding of your current challenges. This is an opportunity to observe how you interact with one another so this information can be used in the creation of a tailored, individualised treatment plan later.
-
You will then each have one, completely confidential individual session. This is an opportunity for you to speak freely without having to worry about hurting your partners feelings. These individual sessions are vital to the assessment process.
-
We then reconvene for a joint session where I share my reflections and present you with a treatment plan. From here the therapy begins.
